It’s my birthday today! I thank the Lord for the year that passed.
Indeed, 2019 was a rollercoaster ride, too many happy moments, too many sad ones. I was blessed to able to finish my Master’s Degree in Theology with honors. I also got an award for Best Thesis. Although sadly, the timing almost coincided with a falling out that’s happened within our church. It was too personal to write but it did really hurt us. Division is never light, it was too painful. It contradicted all the joy that I have felt for almost the entire year.
My husband was laid off from work this year. We knew that it was bound to happen because the Company has dissolved their department and opted to keep juniors for cost cutting purposes. It was our longterm intercession that allowed for my husband to stay on the job longer than expected, we are nothing but grateful to God!
Also this year, God gifted me a bonus to finance our family tour to USA. We were able to go to New York, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. It was my first time to visit the US. We were able to make a short visit to San Francisco and France. God has been so good in blessing me with freebies like these!
I told you it was a rollercoaster ride!
I have learned a lot from my triumphs and failures. I have learned a lot from my mistakes. I do wish to have a better 2020 (and my goodness I am 38!) God knows what’s my secret birthday wish. He knows of our plans, although it could seem like a losing battle, I believe that with God, nothing is impossible so I am claiming victory in this regard!
I pray for my health. God knows I get paranoid sometimes but I trust that He will grant me a healthier and longer life and I pray for our parents and sisters and brothers and their families, and my husband and my son! Please keep my entire family and friends safe from harm!
Lastly, I pray for peace on earth in general. I know that it’s written that in the end times, these things are bound to happen, but we press on to keep us safe always. Thank you Lord for my life. I am forever grateful to you Lord. Glory to God, great things He has done!

Congratulations on you master’s degree in Theology.
My experience with churches convinced me that God resides in everything and is everything. A church is only as good as the people inside it, and God is always with you, with or without a church. I can do without a building full of people, but I can’t do without God. 🙂
Travel can be exhilarating, educating, and exhausting. I was blessed to be able to travel around the country and in other parts of the world. As long as you are able to do so; Travel. My kids paternal grandparents had money saved to travel after retirement. It never happened. He developed cancer, and she had macular degeneration.
Happy 38th birthday. May you continue to be blessed in life.

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment… I really wished I’d traveled more when I was younger because true, we may have more money as we get older / experienced but we get all these aches and ailments too that limits us…
Thank you for your well wishes.. God bless you too,,,
