THE RUNAWAYS – CHERRY BOMB

Can’t stay at home, can’t stay at school
Old folks say, “You poor little fool”
Down the streets I’m the girl next door
I’m the fox you’ve been waiting forHello, daddy, hello, mom
I’m your ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb
Hello world I’m your wild girl
I’m your ch-ch-ch-cherry bombStone age love and strange sounds too
Come on, baby, let me get to you
Bad nights causing teenage blues
Get down ladies, you’ve got nothin’ to loseHello, daddy, hello, mom
I’m your ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb
Hello world I’m your wild girl
I’m your ch-ch-ch-cherry bombHello, daddy, hello, mom
I’m your ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb
Hello world I’m your wild girl
I’m your ch-ch-ch-cherry bombHey, street boy, what some…

    1. You are right! They had a lot of talent and collectively, they could have been superstars. But I guess there’s always that “creative differences” that hinder such success…

I only knew of them because of the movie The Runaways in 2010. That movie also did not do well in the Box Office…

      1. It was probably also the timing. If they would have been together in the 80s…with the Go Gos and Bangles…it would have helped…it shouldn’t have been that way but the music business didn’t exactly promote women rock bands back then.

I was too young at the time they were together but I started to listen to them in the late eighties when reading about Joan Jett.
